Así funcionan los nuevos tableros secretos de Pinterest o «secret boards»

La red social de fotografía e intereses Pinterest, para mí una de las mayores revelaciones en social media este año, acaba de lanzar una nueva utilidad, los tableros secretos. Se trata de un álbum que puedes crear dentro de tu perfil pero que solo tú puedes ver, para hacerlo público más adelante o simplemente para tener ahí almacenadas fotografías o imágenes que no deseas que otros vean (aquí la imaginación de cada uno que piense lo que quiera).

Se trata de una forma muy original de organizar y almacenar imágenes de forma privada, ya que puedes acceder a ellas desde cualquier ordenador con conexión a internet, o compartirlas solo con aquellos que desees, agregándolos como pineadores covirtiendo tu tablero secreto en «compartido».

El sistema es muy sencillo, de hecho si habéis entrado hoy en Pinterest seguramente os lo han presentado y habéis podido comprobar que, al menos por ahora, nos dan la oportunidad de crear tres tablones secretos:

 

 

Una vez que lo has creado, el resto funciona como un tablero normal:

 

 

Puedes convertirlo en público cuando quieras y agregar a alguien como «pineador colaborador» introduciendo su correo electrónico, de esta manera, puedes tener un tablero secreto que solo podáis ver tú y unos amigos o familiares.

Pero si algo me ha llamado la atención no ha sido solo esta nueva función, que me parece bastante útil e interesante, sino la carta que el CEO y cofundador de Pinterest, Ben Silbermann, escribe de forma personalizada a cada usuario de Pinterest para informar sobre la novedad, en la que aprovecha para contar que acaba de ser padre y nos explica cómo se le ocurrió tan brillante idea. Enhorabuena al equipo de Pinterest, por la forma en la que promocionan sus productos, de una forma cercana y familiar y enhorabuena a Ben por su recién estrenada paternidad.

I’m happy to say that I’m not alone. We’ve heard from teachers who use Pinterest to plan lessons, chefs who share recipes, and museums that pin their archives. We’ve also heard from millions of people who’ve been inspired to pick up an old hobby or try something new. It’s honestly more than we ever expected when we started Pinterest.
